The oh-so-lovely, vintage, floral frock in the picture below, is up for grabs in a fun, film themed giveaway, currently being held by Frances Baker. All you need to do is comment on her 'Giveaway!'  blog, and name your favourite movie in terms of fashion/costume inspiration. 

Frances Baker is a lovely, vintage style blog, hosted by a (fellow) Melbourne girl, who loves 30's fashion and Jean Seberg, and appears to be pretty nifty with a sewing machine!

Colour Me Vintage

Perhaps in some kind of subconscious attempt to battle against the recent dull skies of melbourne, the items we have chosen to list on e-bay this week are mostly of the bold and bright variety. There is a lovely, spirit-lifting spectrum of colour on offer, and all but two (the floral, 50's design, day dress is a reproduction, and the resin ring is a modern creation) of the items are vintage pieces.

The green dress with white cord detail, and bat-wing sleeves, is from 60's designer Prue Acton, and a particularly fun piece. The pastel green knit top is as sweet as can be, and truly deserves an up-close look.

.. Oh and don't underestimated the suns harsh effects during winter, sunnies are an all-year-round must in fight against UV rays, and the pair up for auction at Golly Gosh!! are mighty lovely.
